Anuenue Water Polo was founded in 1972 under the name University of Hawaii Women's Water Polo Team. A few years later it changed to Anuenue Water Polo, then Rainbow Aquatics, and finally back to Anuenue Water Polo.

This event is the largest water polo event held in the islands, drawing teams from around the world. This event takes place towards the end of July-early August. For more information, visit the HWP website HERE.
